Incorporated in September 1993, Dorlec Limited is a major turnkey company covering an ever expanding area across the UK. We provide expert knowledge, and support with highly qualified and experienced engineers to many fields including Water Authorities, Iron and Steel Industries, Foundries, Chemical and Petro-Chemical Industries, Textile, Food Industries, Plastic and Rubber Industries, National Banking Organisations, Local Government Departments, National Health Services to name but a few.

We are a UK Company, not only do we operate a 24 hour 7 days a week, yes we NEVER CLOSE, from our 20,000 sq ft facility based at Derby Road Business Park, Clay Cross, Chesterfield. S45 9AG. We are able to provide Qualified Engineers to carry out an on-site service for Repair and Maintenance, Vibration Analysis, Thermographic Surveys, Balancing just to name a few. Being just a couple of minutes away from the M1 Motorway and having our own fleet of transport with someone always at the end of the phone, we can operate a same day collection and/or delivery service.

We are proud of the fact we also specialise in the repair and restoration of light rail motor and axel overhaul down to complete “bogies” refurbishment for some of the UK’s major Heritage Tramways, something many other Electro Mechanical Engineering Companies are unable to do.

Our workshop includes:

  • A full machining service incorporating BROADBENT LATHE-20 foot long bed, 18 feet between centres, 4 foot swing over saddle – 5 foot chuck (Capacity list supplied on request)
  • A 12 tonne overhead crane (lifting capacity maximum 12 tonnes)
  • Dynamic balancing machine capable of balancing rotating components up to 3 tonnes
  • AC motor repairs & rewinds up to 3.3Kv
  • DC Motor and Traction Motor repairs & rewinds
  • Motor load testing up to 125kw.
  • Repair, overhaul of Motors Pumps and Gearboxes.
